'Controlling Your Childrens Party'

This part of the Childrens Party Planning is all about 'controlling' your childrens birthday party. With lots of birthday party planning tips to keep the kid's under control in a FUN & ENTERTAINING way.

All the hard work and hard-earned money spent in making this party extra special could be lost if we choose to ignore the fact that children need to be told what they can & cannot do!

So I really cannot stress how important I find this area of Childrens Party Planning!

Of course, it is a PARTY so DON'T FORGET when telling them make it EXCITING!.

The following warm up exercises are ideas I use in my own personal Childrens Party Planning, this kind of thing works for me - hopefully it will give you an idea on what to do before you begin your Childrens Party Activities.

After sitting the children down in front of you, begin to tell them of all the exciting childrens party activities you have planned.

What you say really doesn't matter as long as you can get them involved and listening. As long as you know what you are going to say. No time for hesitation. You need to gain the kids confidence so they will believe you know what you are doing!

The following are some examples you may use if you wish.

Get them to cheer when you announce:

'We're going to play lots of games'...HOORAY!!!

'With lots of party dancing'...HOORAY!!!

'We are going to be eating some really delicious food'...HOORAY!!!

'Like Sprouts, Cabbage & Peas'...BOO!!!

'Oh okay then...Jelly, Trifle & lots of Cakes' (or whatever culinary delights you are going to give them)...HOORAY!!!

'There's going to be lots of PRIZES'...HOORAY!!!

'The boys & girls that win the prizes have to make lots of NOISE!!! Can you make lots of NOISE??? Can you SHOUT??? SCREAM??? CHEER???

And the boys & girls that the win the prizes are the ones that are really quiet!!! Can you be really quiet??? Really, Really Quiet??? Shhhh.

(Of course as you ask the questions you encourage the children to join in and wait for them to respond accordingly.)

Now armed with your little sweet prizes carry on with...

'And the boys & girls that are going to win the first prizes are the ones that are well behaved and do as they are told, who can keep very quiet, who can stand up, sit down, stand up, sit down' - keep this going giving the instructions faster & faster each time until they are totally out of synch & making lots of noise giggling & laughing etc.

Now make sure they are all sitting down quietly again and showing your little bribes (eh prizes) tell them you are going to give out the prizes to the really, really quiet ones. (This is a good chance to give some prizes to the smaller ones who will find it difficult to win anything when the party games begin).

If these warm up exercises are done in a fun way the kids should be enjoying themselves, so not only are you controlling your childrens party but more importantly they are learning to take instructions from you in a Fun & Entertaining way.

They should now have excepted you as their friend & leader. So now they are UNDER YOUR POWER...Or so we'd like to think! Keep the tempo going, keep them excited and there shouldn't be any reason for them to make their own entertainment!!!
